It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Got the tree up! Luca helped with the ornaments and he basically put every one on the same branch.

This might be one of my favorite pictures of all time!

Mommy and Luca were going through some of his old clothes. He got a kick out of some of them and even did some posing for us! This is the "cool" pose.

This is the "rocking out" pose.

December. So far...

We went to the Palace of Auburn Hills to see Monster trucks!!! Luca was so excited!

We got to ride on one!

Look at those muscles!

Luca has been getting very good at puzzles. Mommy's Kindergartners have trouble with these big ones!!!

And last but not least... Luca is going to have a little brother in April!!!!!!

Luca is 3!!!!!!

The theme for his party this year was Monster Trucks! Luca has been obsessed with them lately. Mommy, Nana, and Papa made this awesome cake for him!

This was his pinata. The "Grave Digger" which we drive by every summer on our way to the Outer Banks. (I cheated and ordered it online.)

19 kids came!

This was my favorite gift! I may just have to read it to him every night... and day!

And finally, we had some left over birthday cake that I suspected Luca was sneaking frosting from. He wouldn't admit it so I had to investigate myself!

Happy Halloween!

Luca had a great time trick or treating as a garbage man! Mommy did a great job making his costume!

He was pretty tired!

Bears Fans

Believe it or not, Alli broke the news to Luca and didn't exactly do it in a cheerful way! I guess passion runs in the family.

Abecedario

Luca is such a good student. He does exactly what I try to get my high school kids to do: try and not worry about making mistakes. I know Grandma Lebron will be proud when she sees this!

August, what a busy month!!!

We arrived home from the beach to find branches all over the yard. Apparently, there were some crazy storms while we were in North Carolina! This is just from the tree above the deck!!

Luca decided he was going to start sleeping in a "big boy" bed. So he made the transition from a crib to a twin bed in one day! If only the potty were that easy.

Luca got a visit from two beautiful little girls named Kendyl and Ella!

Uncle Junior, Frances, Andre, Camerie and Rico came from New Mexico to visit. We had a blast with the family!

We went canoeing down the Kalamazoo River. Not the part with the oil spill.

Luca's cousin Izzabelle making faces on the canoe!

We ended our visit with the family by celebrating Grandma Lebron's 78th birthday! What a wonderful woman our grandmother is!

Goodbye to the Beach

Well, we spent almost all of July at the Beach. The Outer Banks is a very special place to us and we had a great time. We spent our last day playing on the beach and went back in the evening to take some pictures!

Chi-town

We went to Chicago for our anniversary and to get Andrea from the airport. We had a blast!

Future QB?

Hanging out in the hotel room. How sophisticated.

Our Little Photographer

So, we were getting ready to leave and we told Luca to go downstairs and put his shoes on. We noticed he was unusually quiet but we didn't think anything of it. Fast forward two days later... Alli gets back from the zoo and is looking at the pictures she took. She notices that there are about 15 pics or so of the most random things from downstairs. That little stinker got the camera out of Alli's purse, turned it on, took a bunch of pictures, turned it off and then put the camera back. Here is a sample of his work...

This is funny! He somehow turned on the panoramic mode where you take two or three pics and the camera pieces them together to make a longer pic. I don't think he has the hang of it!
