Alma Highland Festival 2011

Once again Luca ran in the Alma Highland festival kids run. This makes his 3rd consecutive year! Last year he won but this year he was at the bottom of his age group (not that daddy is keeping track). He ran by and waved the whole time! He had a blast and it makes his parents so happy that he enjoys running!

Busy May

One week after Nico was born we took our first trip out of Alma. We went to Holland to see Aunt Jilli graduate from Hope College. Congratulations Jilli, we are proud of you!


Luca was so excited to get a book from Uncle Jason and a Aunt Kristina. It's just like the book daddy brought back from Germany about the police except this one is about spaceships! Way to come through guys! Now daddy gets to read in his german voice. It's quite entertaining.


It is so amazing how fast Luca has grown. He got into Nico's crib so daddy could take a picture of him and his brother. It was also a chance for mommy and daddy to remember when Luca was that little and to realize he is not a little baby anymore.

Luca has been such a good big bother to Nico. We are home and adjusting to life as a family of four.

Luca would like to introduce you to his brand new baby brother Nico! After much thought about whether or not to create a new blog for Nico, it was decided that these guys would share one. That is what being a family is all about! That and Daddy has no idea where he would find the time to update two blogs!

So please welcome Nico Cruz! Born May 1st, weighing 8lbs 3oz and 21 inches long!
